FAQ
What is the maximum file size?
12 MB per PDF. If your file is larger, you may need to split it in another tool first or use a different method.
Is my PDF sent to a server?
No. Splitting runs in your browser. Your file never leaves your device.
What is the difference between one file per page and by page range?
One file per page creates a separate PDF for each page (page 1, page 2, and so on). By page range lets you type which pages to split (e.g. 1-3 and 5) and you get one PDF per range or per page depending on how you enter it.
How do I enter page ranges?
Use numbers and hyphens. For example 1-5 gives you pages 1 through 5. You can add commas: 1-3, 5, 7 gives you separate outputs for pages 1 to 3, page 5, and page 7. The tool will ignore invalid numbers.
Can I split the same PDF multiple ways?
Yes. Each time you click Split PDF we use your current settings. Change the mode or range and click again to get a different set of files.
