Feet and Inches Calculator
Add, subtract, multiply, or divide lengths in feet and inches. Example: 5'2" + 3'7" = 8 ft 9 in. Input as ft' in" or ft in. Copy result.
Feet and inches are imperial/US length units (1 ft = 12 in). This calculator adds, subtracts, multiplies, or divides lengths given in feet and inches. Enter lengths as ft’ in" (e.g. 6'2") or as separate feet and inches. Choose the operation (Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide). For Multiply and Divide the second value is a number. The result is shown in normalized feet and inches (e.g. 1 ft 13 in becomes 2 ft 1 in). Copy the result or Copy with labels to include the equivalent in meters (1 ft = 0.3048 m).

FAQ
How do I add feet and inches?
Convert each to inches, add, then convert back. Example: 5 ft 2 in = 62 in. 3 ft 7 in = 43 in. 62 + 43 = 105 in = 8 ft 9 in.
What format can I use for input?
Use ft' in" (e.g. 6'2"), or separate feet and inches (e.g. 6 2), or decimal feet. The tool normalizes the result (e.g. 1 ft 13 in → 2 ft 1 in).
Can I subtract or multiply lengths?
Yes. Choose Add, Subtract, Multiply, or Divide. For Multiply and Divide, the second value is a number (e.g. 5 ft × 2 = 10 ft).
How many inches in a foot?
1 foot = 12 inches (exactly).
Does the result show meters too?
The result shows feet and inches. Copy with labels to get both imperial and metric (1 ft = 0.3048 m).
